You Don’t Have a Money Problem — You Have a Lead Generation & Business Systems Problem
This week, something my mentor Grant Cardone says really landed again:
“Most businesses don’t have a money shortage. They have a people shortage.”
At first, that can sound blunt. But the more I look at businesses — including my own — the more I see the truth in it.
When someone says:
“I can’t find good clients.”
“I can’t find good staff.”
“No one is buying.”
“There are no opportunities.”
What I usually hear underneath is:
They don’t know enough people yet.
Business growth is rarely about luck or talent alone. It’s about attention, relationships, and visibility.
If more people know:
what you do
who you help
how you help
and what problem you solve
… then clients appear. Partnerships appear. Employees appear. Opportunities appear.
Not overnight — but predictably.
Leads Are the Root of Everything
I learned from Michael Neeley Michael Neeley
Leads are not just “sales leads.” They are:
future collaborators
referral partners
podcast guests
employees
mentors
and yes, clients.
When the lead flow dries up, everything feels heavy. When the lead flow is healthy, options open up.
My Honest Reality Right Now
Here’s the interesting twist.
My current challenge isn’t a lack of leads. It’s building the systems to nurture them properly.
Because knowing more people only helps if:
you follow up
you stay in their sphere
you remember what matters to them
you keep relationships warm without being pushy
That’s where structure comes in.
Not hustle. Not pressure. Just simple systems that make relationships easier to maintain.
Bigger Network + Better Systems = Freedom
A bigger network gives you opportunity. Better systems give you peace.
You don’t need to chase everyone. You need a way to stay connected consistently.
That’s the sweet spot I’m refining right now — and it’s the same thing I help many business owners with:
Turning scattered contacts into meaningful connections. Turning good intentions into repeatable habits. Turning relationships into real momentum.
Because at the end of the day…
People don’t just buy products. People buy from people they know, trust, and remember.
And that starts with simply knowing more people — then having a system that helps you care for those relationships over time.
This week, don’t focus on making more money. Focus on knowing more people — and creating a simple way to stay in touch with them. Opportunity doesn’t disappear. It usually just moves to the people who stay visible and consistent.
And if you’d like a simple structure for nurturing your network without it taking over your life, message me “SYSTEM.” I’m happy to share what’s working for me and my clients.
Until next week!
